Cobra La Galvatron Inked

Okay, the other day I stumble across this really wonderful rendering of the Cobra La Galvatron by Beamer here...

...And since I had just gotten a new set of ink pens, I wanted to break them in on something. (And I was for some reason unable to get this Power Girl / Huntress picture working right. Damn artist block.) Not to mention I hadn't really had a chance to ink someone else's work since I've started this "high rendering" inking style I've been doing for a while now, and I wanted to try it out. So I asked him and he said 'sure' and sent me a hi-rez version to ink.

If there's one regret I have about inking it, it's just that I didn't ink it at a larger size. (Simply because my printer can't print larger. Largest it prints is legal.) There was all these awesome but subtle details Beamer threw in there that I simply missed because they were too light at the size I inked it at, that I would have been able to catch if I had done it larger. (Especially on his arm cannon.)

Either way, in the end... I liked the results.

I was tempted to color it, but then I realized that I didn't know his color schemes, since I *think* all that was designed was just the black and white sketch. And honestly, I know there's a lot of G1 fans out there, but I remember Cobra-La. I don't think Galvatron would have been classic G1 purple. In fact I think he would have had more red and white in him, with bits of green and dark gray. (Much like Golobulus's color scheme or the Royal Guard.)
