So ~WebWarlock commissioned me to draw a fanfic character, who's the daughter of Superman and Wonder Woman from Kingdom Come all grown up, Astra Kent, aka Justice.

The penguin's name I do not know, but you can blame me for it's existence. I emailed him up and asked: "Does she have a super-pet? And if not, can she?" He's cool with the idea, and says to go for it, but nothing too weird. So I gave her a penguin. Hey, Fortress of Solitude is in the Antarctic, and so are penguins. Makes sense to me and he liked it, so he approved.

Thing is, I almost suggested a turtle. We could have named him Jimmy, after Jimmy Olsen's stint as "Turtle Boy". I feel like I missed out on an opportunity to draw a turtle in a cape.

I'm so glad you thought about giving her a pet. The super penguin is certainly pretty unique.
Adding this to Justice's costume gives her a very silver-age feel.

Oh, she isn't wearing an eye-patch, that is a blinfold. Since she has x-ray vision it's not a big deal and looks cooler than a mask.

Hah, she looks cute. And yes the fact there's no Super-Penguin yet is a surprise when you think about it. She looks like she's taken a bit after her aunt Donna too.
